Completed stuff from scrap weekend away Feb 2012

Last weekend I went on another fabulous scrapping weekend away with my wonderful scrapping buddies. Here are the things I completed. I was very proud of myself with what I achieved!
This is the blank drawer unit I started with. I cheated and glued it together before I went away. I'm so glad I did as you don't get any instructions and it was fiddly putting it together.
The next few photos show the two finished drawer units for my office desk. They are not perfect as I knew I was making them for me but I am still really happy with them.
I had this denim paer for ages and finally got to use it. My office is blue+white+ black +silver+mess!

The next unit looked like this when I started it. And again it was tricky to put together so I'm glad I did that bit at home.

Here is my finished box for my office desk at home. When I purchased these at Kaisercraft in Geelong, a few weeks ago, they had their display one decorated with sort of kitchen themed paper and had put recipe leaflets in the tall back section (which fits 12 inch paper) and spice jars in the short front section. I'm sure you could use it just about anywhere depending on how you decorated it.

Again, please bare in mind that it's not perfect as I was making it for myself!

The ribbon and buttons across the back were put there to cover up the gap in my paper pieces. I then put ribbon and buttons on the side to match.

When I finished the drawer units I then did these layouts which I had brought with me just in case I finished them. I was going to do some schoolwork instead but gave in and completed these!
Mother's Day Love at the Footy Club May 2009.

The photos are a bit strange as I printed them on canvas paper as an experiment and the colour is not perfect on them. My jumper was black, not dark brown! Used paper doilies I received in my weekend away goodie bag - hooray! My boys are so much bigger now. Sam is nearly as tall as I am.

I love  these Ruby Rocket rubons ( I personally hate rubons - or do they hate me?????) but these birdies won me over. I have heaps of rubons and still presevere in using them but I usually end up in a horrible mess wirth them. oh and the shaped stripey sort of ledger paper was not a fancy shape like this. I just traced it from a shaped piece and then chopped it in half.

I love these round epoxy letters. I have heaps of different sorts of them and mix them up and use them a lot.

A pearl in the middle of the word adds a nice little touch. I could have placed it more carefully I suppose!

You can probably see how grainy the canvas photos are in this close up. Sebastian doesn't usually smile like this. And he has lovely big boy's teeth now. These little ones make him look like such a baby - awww!!!

My other double layout from the weekend away. Good pals, well most of the time!
It was just an ordinary afternoon and Bastian and Georgie were playing in the washing basket. This took way too much time to complete as there are stupid rubons everywhere!
I put a different brad for the flower centre in each coloured flower.

I'm so glad I finally got to use these crochet flowers that I keep selling to everyone else. I haven't put them in my ebay shop yet but I am selling them for 50c each! So cheap and they look spectacular.

I love these letters. I have used them so much. if anyone has half a sheet left that they want to get rid of I will happily pay to take them off your hands asI have used them over and over and over again. And I ran out of L's so used a 1 and ran out of S's so used $ and cut the extra bits off it. I can't even remember the manufacturer of these letters.

Yuk! Apart from the fact that Georgie is picking her nose they are both filthy. But like a good scrapbooking Mum I didn't race off to bath them - I photographed them!!! Will they hate me for this when they are older???

Georgie is not injured above her eyebrow - it's texta! And I love rubons on photos even though they do hate me. And the blue dribble is a mystery?
And who said you can't have a square flower centre - I think it looks good!

Umm - another photo they will hate me for. Sabastian is under there somewhere!

I hope you enjoyed these photos. It's great when blogger works. I have tried to upload photos so many times only for it to crash - here's hoping everything is fine this time. When my scrapping buddy Karen emails me her weekend group shot I will upload it as well!
Thanks for looking and I would love for you to leave a comment!

{I must give proper credit to the fabulous Jones Design Company for exposing me to two of my faves: Albemarle + Bell. I can’t stop using them. Click over for another wonderful list of MORE fabulously free fonts…and much more.}
Oh, and P.S. They’re all free.
Updated: Apparently ‘My Fonts,’ where I linked to Filosofia, Bell + Rosewood, has decided to start charging because of the traffic they received yesterday. It’s not nice to offer something for free and then take it away. Please google to your heart’s content {I located Filosofia and Bell and have redirected them to another source, so those should work} This font is very similar to Rosewood and looks oh so fabulous. I took down the original links because I don’t like the way they play. ;} You should be able to find it elsewhere. Thanks!
Happy appropriate font-filled friday, everyone!
 ENJOY,
